Apart from these well known things there are also museums, art galleries and much more. The accommodation in the city ranges from the extravagantly beautiful to the more basic budget accommodation such as hostels. Car hire is definitely something to consider in this city with it giving you access to more than just the popular tourist resorts, be sure you understand the road sign system in Europe and you have a map to give you directions, even better why not a Sat Nav.
Paris Airport information
There are two primary airports in Paris; the Roissy/Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) is located in the northern part of the city and Orly (ORY) is located at the opposite end. More than 75 million travelers pass through these airports every year. International flights primarily land and leave from de Gaulle, leaving Orly to handle domestic flights. Around five hundred cities are connected to Paris through the airport system, which represents 132 countries. Beauvais-Tille (BVA) is a third airport that is picking up more international flights. It is located 52 miles from Paris. The smallest airport in the Paris system is Le Bourget (LBG), which was made famous as the landing strip for Charles Lindberg's solo transatlantic trip in 1927. It is closed now, but was the only airport to serve Paris before Orly began operations in the 1930's. Roissy/Charles de Gaulle began operations in 1974 and has three terminals. You may find cheap car hire in Paris from the airport, as well as limousine rentals and public transportation. Both of the primary Paris airports offer all the conveniences you would expect from a major world hub. You have shopping, restaurants, banking services, and currency exchange for most types of money.
